Experience
I have represented clients at various levels of the court and tribunal system, from professional conduct tribunals up to the Court of Appeal. As an employment lawyer I have appeared in the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
Examples of my current and recent employment law practice include:
- defending a £500,000 age discrimination claim;
- defending a claim for sex discrimination valued at over £400,000;
- representing the Claimant in a multiday disability discrimination claim against a Local Authority;
- advising on the severance package for a senior executive of a multi-national company where the package offered was valued at £500,000.
Work Related Activities
In addition to my work I am also:
- Head of previous Chambers' Employment Practice Group;
- Head of previous Chambers' Pupillage Committee responsible for the recruitment and training of pupil barristers;
- a Pupil Supervisor;
- an Inner Temple Student Sponsor;
- King's College London: visiting lecturer on the law of Evidence: 2005.
