Keeping your information safe matters to me. This page explains, in plain terms, how I look after the papers and data you share with me.

I hold Briefed’s data protection certification, and I am committed to keeping your information as secure as reasonably possible. I keep your papers only for as long as I need them. Once any appeal deadline has passed, for example, I dispose of them securely. For electronic documents and emails, that means moving your data onto a 256-bit encrypted, brute-force-protected archive device, stored securely away from Chambers.
I work as paperlessly as I can, given how much paper this job can generate. I may still end up with some hard-copy documents for your matter, for example written submissions handed to me by the other side at a hearing. Where that happens, I scan them, store them electronically, and securely destroy the hard copies, either through a cross-cut shredder and enclosed incinerator, or through Chambers’ confidential waste.
When I am working away from home or Chambers, I use a VPN (a secure, private internet connection) so that your information stays protected.
My Chambers’ full privacy notice is available here.
